EG4 LifePower4
The home battery most DIY off-grid systems run. About 5 kWh each, stacks in a rack, lasts well over ten years, and talks to EG4 inverters out of the box. For houses, cabins, tiny houses and most buses, it's the pick.
Who it's for
- Off-grid homes, cabins and tiny houses
- Home backup with an EG4 hybrid inverter
- Bigger buses with room for a small rack
- Growing later — add batteries to the same rack
- Vans — too heavy, wrong voltage. Use 12V lithium.
- Unheated sheds in freezing winters, unless insulated
- Just keeping a fridge on in outages — a power station is simpler
Heavy — plan on two people per battery — and they can't charge below freezing, so keep them indoors.
